Jarrod Bischoff
UK - Jarrod Bischoff returns to the Gallowglass Group as head of training - responsible for the group's stand-alone events industry training company. Having joined events crewing firm Gallowglass in 2004 as senior crew chief, Bischoff moved to a client liaison role between 2009 and 2012, before leaving the company to hone his business development skills with coffee company, CaféPod.

"I've been willingly seduced back to the events industry - and my year's sabbatical has shown me just how far the bar has been raised in expectations of gold-standard event delivery," he said. "Many companies are taking speed, efficiency and safety really seriously nowadays, while others simply want to operate within the law. Either way, training has become an essential, not a luxury."

Gallowglass Training was launched in 2011, to build on the basic on-site induction course being provided internally for its own crews, and to extend the in-house training structure that was already providing NEBOSH and PLASA certification to staff. The creation of a stand-alone company enabled courses to be offered in a dedicated training facility to employees of other events industry companies.

Bischoff added: "Demand for training is growing - in everything from manual handling through first aid, risk assessment and sustainable event management. We're also able to offer bespoke courses anywhere and everywhere, so there's a massive potential for the business. Gallowglass Training is now in its third year, it has progressively grown its UK client base and we're delighted to be taking our expertise overseas."
