Drop Arms and H Frames will continue to be the star attractions on the Doughty booth at this year's LDI
USA - Doughty Engineering's award winning Drop Arms and H Frames will continue to be the star attractions on the Doughty booth at this year's LDI. Visitors to the booth #2105 can see the system in action as well as finding out more about two new items which have been added to the Modular Rigging Range.

Manufactured from high tensile aluminium, the Drop Arms come in lengths of 9.84" (250mm), 19.68" (500mm), 39.37" (1000mm) and 78.75" (2000mm) which can be connected using conical couplers to create larger drops of approximately 19.68ft (6m). H-Frames are 16.3" (415mm) and 39.37" (1000mm) high with connectors available in 9.84"(250mm), 19.68" (500mm), 39.37" (1000mm) and 78.75" (2000mm). All have a safe working load of 220 lbs (100kg) and are available in powder coated silver or black finishes.

Mark Chorley design engineer at Doughty explained, "As we always promised when we first introduced the Modular Rigging Range a year ago, the aim is to ensure it expands and evolves. Since we debuted the Drop Arms and H Frames in 2014, we've gone on to produce several new items, allowing lighting designers to get even more creative."

These new items - half connector with eye and half connector with cable holder, allow for the H-Frames to be flown at different heights. These will be on display on the booth and Mark invites anyone with comments or thoughts on how the range can be built upon, to voice their ideas. "We really do love to hear how our customers can see the range developing. So many of our items begin life as one-offs in response to specific requests, that it's becoming a bit of a habit now. The beauty of the Modular Rigging range is it knows no bounds. If a customer can come up with a new way they'd like to use the system, we will look at how we can help make that a reality."

The Doughty team will be on hand for the duration of the show. Julian Chiverton, sales director said, "LDI provides us with an excellent opportunity to meet our existing clients and new customers in the US. We come away from the show each year with hundreds of new leads to follow up. We look forward to catching up with some old faces and look forward to gaining useful feedback on how they've been using our products over the past year as this is an essential part of our research and future product development."
