USA - EAW has announced the release of DSAPilot Version 1.2 software for its innovative Digitally Steerable Array (DSA) Series loudspeaker system. DSAPilot, which is available as a free download from the company's website, provides a simple control interface for adjusting the vertical coverage pattern of up to 32 DSA loudspeakers. New features available in DSAPilot version 1.2 include:

SPL mapping on listener area: The listener area is shown on screen by a thick bar that uses colours to indicate the SPL at any point. Moving the cursor over the bar opens a window that indicates the predicted SPL value at that point.
Dragable room definitions: Start, stop and inflection points for the listening area can all be entered numerically or by clicking and dragging the mouse to select the desired value.
Selectable amplifier shutdown timer: Each DSA cluster has 16 channels of amplification and 16 channels of DSP, controlled by the DSAPilot software. This feature will allow for customization of the auto-shutdown parameters, say EAW.
Additional cluster types: The DSA Series allows for many different cluster types in varying sizes to meet specific requirements. The inclusion of additional cluster types enables DSAPilot to optimize DSA Series installations for an even wider range of venues.
Six parametric filters on each input: When originally released, DSA-Series loudspeakers had four user-adjustable parametric filters on each of two input sections. With the release of version 1.2 software, six parametric filters are now available on each input.
