Mark Beaver, managing director of Event Concept.
UK - London-based production company Event Concept has boosted its AV capabilities by offering the latest live digital sound, live video and media production services as well as VJ and DJ performances.

Commenting on the company's expansion, managing director Mark Beaver said: "We have excellent relationships with the industry's top sound and video suppliers and we will continue to partner with them on our larger projects. More of our clients are taking their events to full production level, needing a much wider range of services, so it makes sense that we have the skills and equipment under one roof to offer a more efficient, integrated solution where possible."

The AV team is headed by Jamie Corteen, former director of 2 Bit TV, a live video performance and events production company. Corteen is supported by AV production designer Jonny Stewart, formerly Head of Video and Graphics at the Queen Elizabeth II Conference Centre and an expanding team of technicians.

The company has also invested in a range of new digital audio equipment which significantly reduces the set-up and rehearsal time in a range of venues to which they are accredited suppliers including museums, galleries and historic buildings where installation time after the building closes to the public is often as little as half an hour.

Jamie Corteen says: "The real joy of digital is that we can set up a lot of parameters in the studio beforehand such as levels, inputs for instruments/microphones, effects and delays to create the perfect sound for individual venues and rooms. Using the latest digital hardware and software combined with a well-planned site visit means we can roll our kit into a venue, plug it in and be ready to play almost immediately without the need for extensive sound checks."

Event Concept's AV services have already been put to the test in a range of venues including; the Royal Courts of Justice, Tate Modern, the British Museum and the V&A and for a variety of events including large-scale gala dinners, award ceremonies, parties and product launches.
