The concert is a well established seasonal singing extravaganza
UK - With a choir of 1,300 school children, a 30 piece Big Band and vocalist, plus various other ensembles including a body percussion choir, the Brighton & Hove Schools Christmas Concert taking place at the Brighton Centre this December presented some complex audio logistics for Mustt Audio and its Flare loud speaker system.

The concert, organised by Brighton & Hove Music & Arts at the 5,000 capacity Brighton Centre, is a well established seasonal singing extravaganza, eagerly anticipated by local families. So it was vital that the performers were supported by a multi-skilled professional technical production team.

"It was as if we had five concerts running simultaneously," says Mustt Audio owner, Waq. "Choreographing and coordinating the show was a challenge. The music alternates between different choirs and orchestras, so one group might be playing or singing when a brass band walks on stage and joins in."

Working on the event for the third year running Mustt's five-strong audio team, plus two lighting technicians, arrived early at the centre on show day to rig the venue in time for full show rehearsals at 11am. Mustt installed four of Flare Audio's Q18 bass enclosures to supplement the Brighton Centre's existing Flare PA system, with an additional four Flare V8 speakers for side-fill.

"We rely on Waq and his team to make us sound and look brilliant," says Eira Owen of Brighton & Hove Music & Arts. "Since we started using Mustt Audio, we have had really positive feedback from the audience and participants about the quality of the sound and lighting. The company takes all our requests on board and makes the whole event special for all our young singers and their audience."
