Germany - Focusrite Audio Engineering will be showcasing RedNet, their expanding range of Dante-powered audio-over IP interfaces, including the new D16 AES interface and a suite of additional RedNet Control features, at Booth C10, Hall 8.0, Prolight+Sound, Frankfurt.

RedNet is Focusrite's growing range of high quality audio interfaces and connectivity solutions based around the popular and well-established Dante digital audio networking system. RedNet allows a Dante network to interconnect seamlessly with AES/EBU, MADI and Pro Tools|HD systems as well as providing ultra-high quality, high-resolution A-D and D-A conversion anywhere it's required, via a standard Ethernet cable.

RedNet D16 AES is a 1U 19in rack-mount interface on show for the first time, featuring 16 channels of AES/EBU connectivity to and from a Dante audio network, with network redundancy for maximum network reliability. Perfect for bridging between digital consoles, power amplifiers or any other AES3-equipped audio equipment and a Dante network, RedNet D16 AES includes Sample Rate Conversion (SRC) on each input pair, allowing instant operation with any AES3 source. Word Clock and Digital Audio Reference Signal (DARS) connections provide synchronisation with a wide range of hardware, while S/PDIF I/O allows the integration of equipment such as CD or solid state recorders/players.

RedNet 1 & RedNet 2 offer eight and 16 channels respectively of line-level analogue in and out, with Focusrite's precision 24-bit A-D and D-A conversion for superb audio performance.

RedNet 3 interfaces digital audio systems and components to the Dante network via AES/EBU, S/PDIF and ADAT.

RedNet 4 contains eight of Focusrite's next-generation remote controlled preamps/line inputs with two selectable DIs.

RedNet 5 & 6 bridges between the Dante network and Pro Tools|HD & MADI systems respectively, enabling the creation of fully integrated multi-protocol systems.

The RedNet Dante PCIe card delivers up to 128 channels I/O for any Dante network as well as enabling software control solutions including Dante Control and RedNet Control, which sees a new release providing significant additional features.

The latest release of RedNet Control Beta v1.3b3, the software package to configure and remote-control a RedNet system, provides a number of enhancements, including extensive MIDI control capabilities, Thunderbolt compatibility for the PCIe Card, and improved metering for the RedNet 4.

MIDI Control - RedNet Control is now capable of sending and receiving MIDI, allowing control of the RedNet 4 mic preamp from many hardware or software controllers including Pro Tools.
