Australia - On 1 June, after nearly 30 years of steady growth, Australian distribution companies Audio Telex Communications Pty Ltd and Crestron Control Solutions Pty Ltd (CCS) have become members of the Hills Industries group of companies. Hill Industries is one of Australia's largest and most successful companies, with over $800m in annual sales, and comprising engineering and electronics companies including Pacific Communications, Direct Alarm Supplies, Hills Antenna and TV Systems, Hills Transmission Solutions, Access Television Services and Hills Electronic Security.

The company says that Audio Telex, Australian Monitor and CCS will continue to operate in exactly the same way as they have in the past, but with the full support and backing of the Hills group members, and that the Audio Telex and CCS company structures will not change beyond directorships and board representation.

General Manager Stuart Craig comments: "All of Audio Telex's, Australian Monitor's and CCS's staff, agencies, services and facilities will remain unchanged, meaning that the new arrangement will be transparent to our customers, suppliers and other business contacts, although perhaps not quite so transparent to our competition as we move forward with the added strength! We have significant expansion plans domestically and internationally."

CEO Roy Morgan adds: "Most people in the industry are aware that the last five years for us have been very, very successful. Not only will this continue, but with such extensive financial backing, this success and growth will be accelerated."
