UK - Marquee AV has announced the appointment of Jimmy Potter as sales manager. Potter started his career at Nomis, progressing through the ranks there to become studio manager of that facility which dominated the live rehearsal sector throughout the 80's. During Potter's tenure, Nomis hosted most of the greats of the era including The Jam, Dire Straits, Tina Turner, Status Quo, The Police, Wham!, Culture Club, Duran Duran and Queen. After leaving Nomis, Potter moved to the sales side of the pro audio industry and worked with Sensible Music, Marquee Sales and Fuzion.

"I had previously worked with Mark Brown and some of the other guys during my time at Marquee Sales", said Potter. "I always respected the installation division and could see the professional way Mark steered Marquee Installations to become independent, and how the company has evolved and expanded to become the market leading integrator that Marquee AV is today.

"With former colleagues, a great atmosphere and the love for what we do, there's an element of coming home", continued Potter, "But it's now a company that has developed its standards and works even better at a higher level of professionalism."

Marquee AV's MD, Mark Brown, commented, "It's great to have Jimmy back on the team. His tremendous experience is a great asset and he fits in so well with our culture, with a relaxed but professional approach and the desire to always deliver the best systems and service."
