UK - Kerrang! has announced that the Relentless Kerrang! Awards 2013 is moving to the new location of Troxy in East London, taking place on 13 June. The awards is celebrating its 20th anniversary and voting has gone live today via www.kerrang.com and in Kerrang! Magazine. The Relentless Kerrang! Awards will be hosted by Mark Hoppus (ex Blink 182) and Anthrax guitarist Scott Ian.

"It's been a thrilling year for the music Kerrang! loves," says editor James McMahon. "Whether on a global scale, or at a grass roots level, rock has thrived in the twelve months that have passed since the last time we all got together in a room and acted like lawless barbarians. It's for this reason that our awards exist. To bestow praise and reward on music which matters, which so rarely gets acclaim from outside its own scene. I can't wait to see who the fans - who are the bedrock of everything good about everything Kerrang! does - vote to gain immortality this year."

Daniel Smith, business development manager at Troxy comments, "Troxy is this year celebrating its 80th anniversary and legendary performers to have graced our stage in this time include Patti Smith, PJ Harvey, Beady Eye, New Order, Garbage, Stereophonics and Richard Hawley. The original art deco features, extensive in-house AV and accessible location makes it ideal for award productions. We look forward to welcoming Kerrang! and seeing what this exciting year has in store for them."

The 1930's art deco venue has also seen a wave of renovations in 2013 including a new carpet and the refurbishment of eight backstage dressing rooms and creation of two production suites, also backstage. Further work will be carried out on the front of the venue later in the year with the plan to restore its original features in time for its 80th anniversary celebration.
