With the move complete, the factory has settled down to a split shift system to keep up with current demand for product. Logic System's managing director Chris Scott told us: "No one sector has been amazing - we have just seen good solid business across all market sectors. The theme bar market has been flat for most people but with installation customer TTL working through a programme of 60 Yates refits and with all new kit coming from Logic, that has helped."
The past few months have seen the completion of a substantial range of installations of Logic Systems equipment: while Mansfield-based AV Networks was installing a new Logic rig into the Juice bar in Bolton, Northampton's Willow Communications was supplying a similar service to a Barracuda venue 100 yards away. Further North, Aberdeen-based CLS has been kept busy with a string of work for Glasgow-based G1 Group. Various venues have required a diverse range of products from IS series cabinets in bars, to CS1296 units in the larger live music venues. Chris Preston and Ian Graham of Absolute Audio have been busy over the last few months converting The Laurel Pub Company's 'Casa' venues into a new concept, Bar Me. The latest opening was in Milton Keynes and used a liberal quantity of IS Series product.
On the live front, Nottingham-based Merlin Productions is supplying a 20-stack CS1296 system for a series of open-air gigs at Newmarket racecourse. The events have attracted sell-out crowds of 20,000 people and have featured bands such as Atomic Kitten, Jools Holland and Status Quo.
Danny Anderson from Zisys AVMN, based in Irvine, Scotland, has recently completed a six-stack CS1296 system sale to his local authority. The sale, supplied as a turnkey system, also included a CM15 monitor system and the contract to engineer the system for the next 12 months. Bradford's Music Company, meanwhile, have been installing Logic LS Series product into a variety of venues, ranging from a Luminar Leisure Jumping Jacks, to a 2,000-capacity Bradford Church. The church required a comprehensive audio system, as a normal Sunday service can see up to 40 people live on stage! The Music Company was delighted with the performance of the LS12 and LS300 FOH speaker system, says Chris Scott. Stage monitoring, meanwhile, was taken care of by CM12 and CM15 enclosures.
Finally, Scottish dealers The Warehouse, with bases in both Edinburgh and Glasgow, have been busy with a string of CM series monitor sales into the live industry and have also concluded the sale of eight LS12s and four LS300s to John Wetherby of Sound Sense PA. The company's folk-orientated work sees them working in venues of various sizes, and the flexible combination of LS12 and LS300 enables Wetherby to service all his requirements using varied amounts of the same system.
