The Space Roof is the largest stage in LS-Live's range
UK - Three of the entertainment industry's leading service providers will be joining forces to co-exhibit at the Showmans Show next week.

LS-Live, HSL and Adlib will be collaborating to produce one of the biggest stands at the outdoor event services show, which takes place between 19th-20th October at the Newbury Showground in Berkshire. The joint exhibit will feature a full live rig based around LS-Live's Space Roof stage system.

The three northern-based rental companies will be demonstrating how their varying products and skills, which span the entire spectrum of live event production, can add value to live events, both independently as suppliers and together as a full production package.

Studio, staging and set construction specialist LS-Live will erect a 30m wide version of its Space Roof, with a thrust, B stage, stage set and other rental and automation products, which make up the largest staging hire stock in the UK at its facility in Wakefield.

The Space Roof is the largest stage in LS-Live's range, which also includes the Mini Stage, Midi Stage and Dome Stage. It combines a heavy-duty aluminium modular roof design, which can be extended in increments of 2072mm by 2072mm bays, together with a modular Layher Event Deck stage system and custom components to make it one of the most streamlined, flexible and robust products in the marketplace.

LS-Live General Manager Ben Brooks commented,"We're looking forward to the Space Roof's first trade show exhibition. We've invested heavily in creating what we believe to be the most economical, flexible and cost-effective stage in the marketplace and we're positive that we'll get a great reaction from outdoor event organisers and production managers visiting the show.

"We're glad to be joined by HSL and Adlib for the exhibition. The combined expertise of three leading players in the concert, touring and outdoor events industry will mean we have a very appealing offer for visitors to the show who are looking for a full hire package, whether they're involved in small village fΩtes or large-scale festivals.

"Together with our 17,000 sq ft rehearsal space - where we can design, build and test structures and productions - and Backstage Academy where crew can get trained in essential certificates like the Event Safety Passport, Emergency First Aid and Working with Electricity, we can offer a complete production service to any scale of event."

Lighting rental company HSL will be designing and supplying a lighting and visuals rig to dress the Space Roof at the Show. HSL will be highlighting its new Martin Professional scenic LED video screen surfaces, EC10 and EC20 (10mm and 20mm pitch respectively), and also the IP rated Martin LC Plus video screen which has a 40mm pitch. These are part of a recent major new investment in LED screen surfaces, reflecting the growing convergence between video and lighting technologies into a more integrated 'visual' environment. HSL is at the forefront of making the latest and innovative technologies available to a wide range of designers working in all sectors.

HSL is also showing its extensive stock of high-powered A&O Falcon searchlights, which are ideal for large scale/outdoor applications of all types and also for 'wow factor' stage effects. The Falcon 3K, 4.5K and 7K versions will be on the stand, along with Robe lighting's Cityscape Extremes, another high intensity LED wash lightsource.

Said HSL MD Simon Stuart: "We are continually expanding our horizons and are certain that the Showmans Show will introduce us to new and important contacts in many areas of the live and special events industries."

Liverpool-based Adlib, which furnishes live events and installations in the UK and around the world with sound, lighting and audio visual solutions, will be providing an audio system for the stage. A member of the L-Acoustics rental network, Adlib's inventory includes speaker systems such as the K1, V-Do
