The new ‘line monitors' were used by drummers on the main stage
Germany - Nexo's 45ºN-12 stage monitors have made their festival debut in Germany on the centre stage of one of the country's largest events - the new 'line monitors' were used by drummers on the main stage of Rock im Park, courtesy of rental company satis&fy AG Werne.

Together with its sister event, Rock am Ring (Rock at the Ring), Rock im Park (Rock in the Park) is one of the biggest music festivals in Germany. It takes place around Nuremberg in the south of Germany; headliners this year included Disturbed, System of a Down, Coldplay, Alter Bridge and Kings of Leon.

Rental company satis&fy AG Werne, specialists in live entertainment and tour support, worked extensively with Reinhard Steger, rental sales engineer from Nexo's German distributor audiovation, to test the new N-12 line monitors before offering them to the festival stage.

For a stereo drum-fill set, satis&fy used two sets of two 45ºN-12 line monitors, positioned on top of two RS15 subs, each set powered by a single NXAMP4x4. An additional monitor set was positioned beside the monitor desk for the engineers for evaluation.

At Rock im Park, the Nexo drum-fill was used by all the bands, except those on in-ear monitors, generating great interest from monitor engineers who were struck by the precision of the loudspeakers' performance and the absence of feedback problems. Satis&fy's own technicians were pleased with the response from the artists, particularly monitor engineer Achim Zell.

"To receive not a single negative comment from artists and band monitor engineers means a lot in such a challenging environment," says Reinhard Steger. "There was a lot of curiosity about the monitors, every technician and engineer on stage just had to go and touch them! The real endorsement can be seen by the fact that all the drummers were happy to use them, and from the confidence shown by Kim Lindner, the production manager at Rock im Park."
