UK - The build-up to PLASA Focus: Leeds 2013 launches today with free registration and a brand new website. The only event for entertainment technology in the north of England, PLASA Focus takes place on Tuesday 30 April and Wednesday 1 May 2013 at the Royal Armouries at Clarence Dock, only a short distance from the centre of Leeds, West Yorkshire.

The fifth annual event looks set to continue its success story with over 91% of exhibition space already taken and only 15 stands available to book between now and December. PLASA members and previous exhibitors receive discounts on stand space, but exhibitors are advised to move quickly to secure a spot.

Long-standing exhibitors who will be returning to the show include Shure Distribution, Elation, AC Entertainment Technologies, Adam Hall, Hall Stage, Electro-Voice, Sound Technology, Batmink, Chauvet, J&C Joel, Polar Audio, Avolites, Clay Paky, Fuzion, d&b audiotechnik, Hawthorn, Martin Audio, Martin Professional, Nexo, Philips Lighting, Total Solutions, Northern Stage Services, Artistic License, Robe, Sennheiser and White Light.

As in previous years, the show will see the UK debut of many new products fresh from international launches at Prolight + Sound and ISE. The highly acclaimed PLASA Professional Development Programme will run alongside the event, providing visitors with access to over 20 free seminars, tutorials and product demonstrations.

Event manager Sophie Atkinson comments, "A new feature for the Leeds edition of the PLASA Professional Development Programme will be the introduction of a Keynote Speaker. The new Keynote Address will be used to highlight a key issue affecting the industry in the region and will be delivered by a leader in their field, full details will be announced soon. Joining the Keynote Address will be sessions on the fundamentals of pro audio and lighting, case studies from the creative minds behind some very high profile events from the past twelve months, and more opportunities for free product training and demonstrations."

Last year's show was a real success, attracting over 2000 members of the North's theatre and event production communities. The friendly, informal atmosphere that the show is renowned for will remain in place, with a free buffet - style lunch on both days and plenty of opportunity to network, meet new people and do business.

Free registration is open now, so visit www.plasafocus.com/leeds to sign up for your free ticket and to receive a preview of the PDP, plus speaker interviews and new product announcements in coming weeks.
