The World Travel Awards — Indian Ocean Gala Ceremony
Maldives - When the exclusive World Travel Awards - Indian Ocean Gala Ceremony took place recently at the luxurious Paradise Island Resort & Spa in the Maldives, local event company, Azidon Pvt Ltd used the occasion to introduce its new lighting inventory from the Chinese lighting manufacturer PR Lighting.

Azidon Pvt Ltd sponsored the production for the World Travel Awards - Indian Ocean Gala Ceremony as an event partner. "Our intricate local knowledge of the seas, islands and beaches gives us an edge when it comes to delivery," says Azidon's managing director, M. Fayid Farouk.

In addition, Azidon also offers private and exclusive VVIP event packages in partnership with its sister company, Lets Go Maldives Pvt Ltd.

As an event partner, the company knew that the set needed to be dressed to perfection and it turned to its recently acquired PR Lighting inventory, which comprises eight each of the new XR300 Beam and XLED 1037. These were carefully selected by the company's experienced Director of Events & Operations, Ahmed Hamzoon.

"I chose PR Lighting for its reasonable pricing, good quality components and branded filaments," says Hamzoon. "Furthermore, I am also really impressed by the company's very responsive after sales service. As an events company, we continuously need to adapt, and having a confident relationship with our vendors is of utmost importance to us."

"While the existing fixtures are more than capable of lighting an exclusive private beach for events and parties, we look forward to procuring more lights from PR Lighting in the near future. We continuously try to align our inventory towards customer-centric solutions - and since venues in the Maldives tend to be very small, and our transport is by sea, we focus on highly effective solutions deliverable in a small package," says Fayid. And PR Lighting met this criteria.

For the World Travel Awards - Indian Ocean Gala Ceremony, Azidon's creative team designed the set to enable the fixtures to function respectively as beam and wash lights, firing down from the overhead truss to ensure the stage and podium represented a dramatic, constantly colour changing scene.
