Chile - ChileVision TV continues to invest in Robe moving lights for their HQ in Santiago, which has seven studios. The commercial channel is owned by Turner Media and broadcasts nationwide, primarily specialising in producing light entertainment programmes which need exciting eye-catching lighting and scenic elements.

Robe was first introduced to ChileVision by the station's chief lighting technician Mario Navarrete and chief engineer Luis Silva. They made their first Robe purchase in 2007 and currently have over 60 Robe fixtures, including ColorSpot and ColorWash 575 and 1200E AT moving lights, Scan 1200 XTs and LEDBlinders.

They chose Robe because of its "reliability, quality, good prices and also because of the excellent after-sales service offered by Robe's Chilean distributor explains Navarrete.

The purchase coincided with the opening of a new studio at the complex. They have the option of splitting the stock and moving it between studios as the demand arises. Another new studio was christened in 2008 and this led to a further purchase, this time of the ColorWash and ColorSpot 575E ATs. In early 2010, the Robe inventory was further boosted with an additional eight ColorWash 575E ATs and eight ColorSpot 575E ATs.

"The features and the functions of the units are great," says Navarrete, "and I can honestly say that in four years since the first lights started work here - and haven't stopped since - we have not had a single unit break down."

The sales were all co-ordinated by Leonardo Macaya who is now working for Robe's current distributor in Chile, Valook, also based in Santiago. He says "Offering an efficient and comprehensive after sales service is vital when you are supplying the very latest technology, and I am confident in pushing the brand as Robe have always been very supportive and are there when needed."
