John Idar Bakke, Hakon Rønning and Asbjørn Boyesen at Scandec Systemer
Norway - Scandec Systemer AS has been appointed exclusive distributor for DiGiCo products in Norway, stating its desire to only work with leading manufacturers as one of the main reasons for the company's decision to include the DiGiCo brand in its product portfolio.

Established in 1984 by Knut Børke and Hakon Rønning, Scandec's continued success is due to its high adaptability and fast response times for projects small and large, for both the public and private sectors. These include a wide variety of entertainment venues, recording and broadcast studios, schools, sports arenas and stadiums, background music, public announcement, emergency evacuation and voice alarms installations, marine systems and AV / interactive education systems.

"DiGiCo is a great complement to our existing product mix," says Hakon Rønning, sales director of Scandec. "DiGiCo consoles have great quality and functionality, and we will see to it that Norwegian sound engineers will be supported well.

"Norwegian DiGiCo users are very happy with their investments, and we look forward to including many more from our Scandec user network.

"We are very pleased to get the opportunity to work with this major digital console brand here in Norway. Scandec has invested in a large number of DiGiCo desks so that the team can educate the sound engineers of today, as well as the engineers of tomorrow."

The first order Scandec was fortunate to deliver was a fully equipped SD7 system with twin engines and HMA optics, an SD10 and an SD8-24 all of which were for a live indoor venue for TV channel TV Visjon Norge, in Drammen.

The SD7 Twin Engine at TV Vision Norge will be available to the general Scandinavian rental market.

"We're delighted to have Scandec represent the DiGiCo brand in Norway," says DiGiCo's Tim Shaxson. "We knew they were the right choice and the fact that they have already made sales to such prestigious end-users confirms that."
