UK - Sennheiser UK has confirmed that it is now the exclusive distributor of K-Array products in the UK. At PLASA08 Sennheiser UK introduced K-Array to a select group of individuals. Designed and manufactured in Florence, Italy, K-Array loudspeakers and amplifiers are designed for a range of applications.

For medium to large-scale live performance applications, the K-Array range includes the KH4, a self-powered two-way line array speaker with impressive power reserves.

The KH4 has been designed to be easily integrated with other K-array products, including the KS4 self-powered dipole high performance subwoofer, which itself is only 16cm in depth, while weighing just 37Kg. In terms of dispersion, the KH4 offers a variable vertical coverage pattern of between seven and 37 degrees, and a broad 120-degree horizontal coverage pattern. Both the KH4 and KS4 have been designed for fast set-up and dismantling.

The transducers used in the KH4 mid/high packs and the KS4 subwoofer are controlled via internal DSP modules, while dedicated remote control software allows the user to control the speaker from a PC.

K-Array Kobra Systems are compact and ultra-slim speakers designed and built for a variety of specialised applications. These include the KK200 and KK50, ultra-thin three-dimensional array loudspeakers 200cm and 50cm in length respectively.

The Kobra Systems range also includes the miniature KT20 2-inch point source compact speaker and the KKS50, an ultra-slim line array bass speaker only 50cm long. This paring makes for a loudspeaker system that is inconspicuous without compromising sonic fidelity, says the company.

"These are exciting times at Sennheiser UK," says general manager Phil Massey. "And we're delighted to have been named as sole UK distributor for K-Array. We believe thereĀ¹s going to be a huge demand for K-Array speakers and amplifiers. As many people who attended PLASA can confirm, these products pack incredible punch and audio quality into a revolutionary new concept in loudspeaker design. Coupled with the stylish design we're confident that K-Array products will appeal to all areas of the industry."

"Sennheiser has a long and illustrious history in the audio industry and we look forward to a long and profitable partnership," adds Alex Tatini, CEO of K-Array. "We are experiencing strong growth and having Sennheiser on board means that we can gain access more easily to distant markets."
