Cliff Dounting takes over the reins as MD of Leisuretec allowing Mike Henden to focus on business development
UK - Leisuretec Distribution has announced a number of staff changes and additions. As of February 2014, Cliff Dounting has taken over the reins from Mike Henden as Managing Director. Dounting joined Leisuretec in November 2007 as Operations Manager and became Commercial Director in July 2008. He comments: "it genuinely is an honour to become Leisuretec's Managing Director, a position of great responsibility that I take very seriously. We have a fantastic team with a very positive outlook of providing excellent technical and commercial support with a great service with a smile. Of course this is all possible by having some wonderful suppliers who are like our friends and we have great strength of partnership providing some of the best brands in the world. I'm very proud to be part of it".

Mike Henden comments: "With Leisuretec's continued development over the last few years, Cliff has been at the heart of our growth and his drive, motivation and determination along with his corporate background make this a great move to take Leisuretec forward. Our plans are firmly in place to grow Leisuretec, in part from organic growth from our current customer base and suppliers; however we recognize the need to strategically add to our capabilities and create new opportunities. Confirming Cliff's role in the business with his new title will avail me more time to focus on growing our business further, which is extremely exciting".

Leisuretec Distribution Ltd has also announced that events specialist Kate Harris, has joined their Marketing team in the newly-created role of Events & Marketing Coordinator. Kate comes to Leisuretec with several years' of experience specialising in corporate events and brings to the role valuable knowledge in event management and operations, having worked at stately homes Woburn Abbey and Ashridge Business School. Kate will also be responsible for event management and Leisuretec's PR activity.

Leisuretec's Managing Director, Cliff Dounting comments: "With the investment in our new events facility it was clear we needed someone responsible for the daily management and liaison with suppliers, customers and colleagues. I'm delighted Kate has joined us and with her experience and enthusiasm, she has already made a positive impact and contribution to our team. I'm sure Kate will develop Leisuretec's capabilities further when promoting the new facility for the benefit of our customers and suppliers. Also, by having Kate focused on delivering our PR I know she will have a very positive effect on this aspect of marketing. We wish Kate every success in this important new role for Leisuretec Distribution Ltd."

Further new appointments include pro audio specialist, Chris Dennis, who joins the sales team as an Audio & Video Sales Specialist. Formerly with DM Music, Chris comes to Leisuretec with more than 10 years' experience specialising in PA and AV technical support gained from a strong background in MI retail and distribution. Chris brings very valuable knowledge to the team, having spent many years as a freelance sound engineer and musician, which he is still involved with today.

Chris said of the announcement: "I am very pleased to be joining Team Leisuretec, having dealt with them over the years from the other side of the fence and having always been impressed by their efficient and friendly service. I am looking forward to contributing to this and being a part of the forward-momentum they clearly possess."
