UK - The Theatres Trust, the National Advisory Body for Theatres, presents its TheatreStage at PLASA London from 5 - 8 October at ExCel London. Following the success of the TheatreStage at last year's PLASA London, it will once more provide a focal point for members of the theatre industry to gather and network throughout the show.

The TheatreStage will be a hub for awards and announcements from leading theatre industry trade bodies and organisations including the Association of Lighting Designers (ALD), BECTU, the Technical Theatre Awards and USITT - with the presentation of the Michael Northen Bursary Awards by the ALD, and an introduction of works by USITT's Young Scenic Designer 2014 - Patrick Rizzoti. We are also delighted to announce that for a second year running TheatreStage will host the Technical Theatre Awards.

The Theatres Trust also invites you to have coffee and doughnuts at the start of each day and hear about its Theatre Buildings at Risk Register 2014, upcoming Conference 15: Valuing Theatres, and Building Better Theatres - the new Theatres Advice Service Workshop Programme.

"We are delighted to have such a varied programme taking place on the TheatreStage this year", comments Mhora Samuel, director of The Theatres Trust. "The interest from the theatre industry to present on the TheatreStage has been fantastic and we have developed the programme from three days last year, to the full four days of the 2014 show. I'm sure the TheatreStage programme will be of great interest to visitors from a wide cross-section of the theatre sector."

The TheatreStage is made possible thanks to the generous support of the following sponsors: Production and Technology Sponsor - Stage Electrics, Programme Sponsor - ETC, as well as PLASA Events, ABTT, Chauvet, Clay Paky, Hawthorns, GDS, Charcoalblue, Doughty, EM Acoustics, Robe, ShowTex, Stage Technologies, the Technical Theatre Awards and Unusual.

The TheatreStage will be located on stand R40, directly adjacent to The Theatres Trust stand S40. All visitors are welcome to drop by and hear the presentations on the TheatreStage and learn more about the work of The Theatres Trust.
