The new venue has the capacity to hold just over 2,000 people
UK - Vauxhall Holiday Park in Great Yarmouth has invested over £300,000 in East Anglia's new premier music locale; the new V-Arena entertainment venue.

The new venue has the capacity to hold just over 2,000 people with a host of artists planned to perform in 2015.

The main PA system used for all the weekender events and the major events in the five star park's own calendar is a d&b audiotechnik system from Reboss Services comprising of 24 C7s and 8 B2 Subs. Dedicated solely to Vauxhall Holiday Park, the system uses exclusively Van Damme cabling from UK cable specialist VDC Trading.

Also installed by Reboss Services in the V Arena at Vauxhall Holiday Park are two independent Van Damme multicore systems. The first comprises a 48 way analogue multicore with a separate 8-way return, all on VDM multi-pin connectors at both ends with a comprehensive VDC splitter system totally flight-cased for monitors. Running alongside the analogue system is a full digital system to accommodate most digital desks as and when required including all the break out leads to match desks and stage boxes. A separate audio and visual multicore was also installed from the stage to the visual studio control studio. The Van Damme stage snakes have all the stage boxes connected by VDM multi pin connectors.

The other totally separate system was installed for the park's own Pro-Logic sound system. This was again analogue and digital but with a further split from stage to back stage enabling the F.O.H. desk to be operated from back stage. It consists of a Van Damme 24 way multicore with a separate 8-way return again all with VDM multi-pin connectors. The stage again being covered by a 12-way stage box again on multi-pin connectors.

The requirement was for the installation to be totally hidden. The only items to be seen are cleverly concealed boxes at each end with a lockable door when not in use.

Reboss director Roger Leggett said, "For me VDC Trading construct totally reliable cables, connectors and assemblies which are not cheap but they give outstanding service and value for money. The support provided by VDCs Anne Gardiner and Adam Jafrabadi was outstanding. That level of dedication is rare in any of the other market leaders."
