Never ones to take it easy, the busy truckers at EST are currently rushing about supporting a wide variety of artists and events. Five tucks are accompanying French-Canadian singer Garou, still touring French-speaking Europe and performing to packed houses wherever he goes. Still jigging away with some gusto, the cast of Riverdance has now moved on to Cardiff for a week before leaping off to Birmingham with up to 10 EST trucks dancing attendance on them.

Back on this side of the pond for the first time in five years, US Soul and R&B singer, Mary J Blige has commandeered four EST trucks as she embarks on a grand tour of Europe, starting in Hamburg on 5 April and finishing in Dublin on the 25 April, taking in most of the major European cities on the way, including shows in Birmingham, Manchester and London. The show is produced by Patricia Chaveria whose husband Paul is well known in the industry.

Outside the music industry, EST are busily trucking their way to Marbella to support Ford in the launch of their re-vamped Focus model, as well as a trip to Monaco for the Grand Prix. Six trucks went to Budapest, where telecoms giant Orange was staging a conference. Among the equipment carried was a temporary building supplied by sister company ESS.

EST also trucked ESS staging and equipment to Aintree for the Grand National meeting as well as delivering equipment to London’s Royal Festival Hall for a meeting of BP shareholders.Watch this space in May when EST get religion with Christian Rock bands Delirious and Phish Flat while at the same time providing support to such greats as Santana, the Moody Blues and the Beta Band as they set off on European tours.
