Clear-Com's FreeSpeak wireless system
Poland - Clear-Com has announced that the Grand Theatre and National Opera in Warsaw, Poland, has extended its existing Clear-Com wired partyline intercom system with a FreeSpeak wireless system including two Basestations and 35 digital beltpacks. The new elements were supplied and installed by Profiaudio Ltd, Clearcom's authorized distributor in Poland.

The Grand Theatre and National Opera, built in 1833, is one of the largest theatres in the world. A Clear-Com partyline communication system had been installed in the theatre several years ago for the lighting team, but there was a requirement to enable the entire theatre staff to communicate throughout the venue, both inside and outside. Having considered other comms systems, the theatre's technical team decided instead to extend the existing Clear-Com installation with 35 additional beltpacks and two FreeSpeak Basestations.

A spokesperson for the technical management of the Grand Theatre and National Opera expressed the opinion that Clear-Com is a trusted brand throughout the world. "We have always had very good experiences with our Clear-Com partyline system so it made sense to extend our existing system, and the flexibility of the FreeSpeak system allowed us to do that easily and cost-effectively."

Christian Eberlein, regional sales manager, D-A-CH, Poland & Scandinavia, at Clear-Com, said, "We're delighted that the Grand Theatre and National Opera in Warsaw has chosen Clear-Com again for their wireless communication needs. With FreeSpeak's DECT and wireless auto-roaming technology, users can move freely around the building without fading or losing communication connection, which is imperative in a large venue with critical communication requirements."
