PLASA Focus Leeds 2014
UK - White Light returns to the Royal Armouries in Leeds this month for the annual PLASA Focus exhibition 12-13 May.

On stand N-C24 in New Dock Hall, visitors will find the latest lighting, effects and audio solutions including White Light exclusive products from manufacturers Altman Lighting, ArKaos Pro, Core Lighting, JB-Lighting, Interactive Technologies, Look Solutions, LSC Lighting and Wireless Solution; and from manufacturer EM Acoustics. White Light's display of products will focus on LED lighting, show control systems, special effects and loudspeaker equipment.

Visitors will find the latest in LED lighting technology from US manufacturer Altman Lighting, including the new Spectra Cyc 400 featured for the first time at the show. The fixture blends colours via a patented LED blending lens which reduces pixilation from direct view. The Phoenix LED 250W and 150W profiles will both be on display at the White Light stand along with the Spectra Cyc 100, Altman's popular LED cyclorama fixture. Altman Lighting LED fixtures are available with standard LED options of RGBW, RGBA, 3000k, and 6000k or can be customised based on specification.

White Light will also showcase low-energy lighting products from Core Lighting, which specialises in completely wireless LED lighting for event production, exhibitions, and architectural applications. Making its first appearance in the UK, Core Lighting StripPoint is a lightweight battery operated 1m batten with Wireless DMX control and 18 x pixel mapped LEDs. Joining the StripPoint will be Core's new PinPoint, a lightweight battery powered LED pin spot with a very bright 300 lumen output in a tight 5 degree beam. The ColourPoint Mk2 uplighter will also be on show with its new quad-chip RGBW LED technology.

For colourful moving effects, guests are invited to see the new Sparx10 LED moving head fixture from JB Lighting. With 37 multi-chip RGBW LEDs and a zoom range of 4-40 degrees - the Sparx10 is sure to suit a wide spectrum of applications and venues. Completing the JB Lighting product range will be the Sparx7 and Varyscan P8 moving head units.

For easy to use, comprehensive show control, look no further than Interactive Technologies. On display will be the SceneStation3, a cost-effective DMX lighting controller which is entirely self-contained in a single gang, wall-switch sized unit. The CueServer 2 will also be on show, the award winning and most comprehensive combination of stand-along show playback in an easy-to-use package.

Wireless Solutions products at the show include the G4 Blackbox and G4 Whitebox transceivers for indoor and outdoor control utilising Wireless Solutions' exclusive W-DMX technology.

The Clarity LX600 console from manufacturer LSC Lighting will be there with its in-built 17" and 10.4" LCD touch screen monitors and 240 programmable buttons across four pages of the user button banks. The LX600 runs the same Clarity software as its smaller brother the LX300 but with an enhanced platform, improved speed and ease of programming.

Products on display from manufacturer ArKaos Pro will be the Studio Server, a powerful system designed for professional lighting designers. This full-option media server runs Full HD video on up to four EDID managed outputs and comes standard with one HD-SDI input and fast SSD drives.

Special effects from German manufacturer's Look Solutions are also back to the show and include the Unique 2.1 hazer, Viper S, Tiny FX and Tiny S fog machines.

In addition to the lighting equipment on the White Light stand, visitors will also be able to discover the latest product from EM Acoustics to be displayed for the first time in the UK. The EPX-8 is a compact, powerful loudspeaker - based around the ever popular EMS-81X. The EPX-8 is ideal for a wide range of applications ranging from small front-of-house duties to front fill and compact stage monitoring.
