The equipment in rental stock has been in constant demand by projects at many of London's key event venues
UK - Four months on from the creation of its dedicated audio department, complete production solution specialist White Light continues to receive much interest in the new range of audio products and services it now offers alongside its renowned expertise in entertainment lighting. This interest coincides with the completion of a number of high-profile audio projects across the event and installation sectors of the market.

"It has been an astounding launch", comments Lee Dennison, White Light's head of audio. "From the day we announced our expansion into audio, with a hand-picked team of audio experts added to the team at White Light, more than £300,000-worth of brand new audio equipment from leading manufacturers including Clear Com, EM Acoustics, Full Fat Audio, Shure, Sennheiser and Yamaha available to hire and our appointment as dealers for EM Acoustics, Full Fat Audio, Shure, Sennheiser and Yamaha Commercial Audio, the response has just been phenomenal."

The equipment in rental stock, carefully prepared and packaged for rapid, efficient deployment, was put to use immediately on shows for London Fashion Week and has been in constant demand ever since by projects at many of London's key event venues. Many of these venues have long relied on White Light as a trusted supplier of lighting so they are delighted to now be able to turn to the company as a trusted supplier of audio as well; whether this is separately or as a complete production package.

Permanent installation projects have included the supply of a complete new system for Thorpe Park, one of the UK's largest theme parks, using equipment from EM Acoustics and Sennheiser. "We had a great experience working with White Light", comments Thorpe Park's entertainments technical co-ordinator, Martin Swain. "They were extremely understanding when it came to our needs and not only worked within our budget but provided the necessary solutions to any issues we faced."

Alongside clients and customers, the audio manufacturers who White Light now represents are delighted with this new move into sound. "Our partnership with White Light came to fruition due to our very long-standing association with Lee Dennison who has long specified FFA amplifiers", comments Dave Millard of Full Fat Audio. "We are delighted to be part of White Light's new venture to hire and retail high-end sound equipment. Lee has an excellent audio team and I personally am very impressed with the new audio department that has been set-up at White Light's headquarters - the new demonstration facilities that have just been commissioned are first class and will certainly be highly useful."

Mike Wheeler, operations director for EM Acoustics, adds, "We were introduced to White Light by Lee Dennison, who we've had a close relationship with since the very beginning of EM Acoustics' life. It was a logical decision for him to want to have EM Acoustics as his primary loudspeaker brand, and from our perspective we welcomed White Light into our dealer network. With a major investment in rental stock, it's clear White Light is fully behind EM Acoustics as a brand not only for sales, but as the product that works for them as a day-after-day rental workhorse. We look forward to our relationship continuing to grow for many years to come."

"White Light and Shure have enjoyed a lengthy relationship, and White Light's recent decision to further enhance its expertise in audio has allowed the two companies to build on this", comments Tuomo Tolonen of Shure's Pro Audio Group. "We work very closely with our partners and aim to provide the highest level of service and quality possible. A great example of recent collaboration was the one day Wireless Masterclass event held at White Light as part of their Unplugged training series. This level of structured training really allows people to engage with the products and manufacturer and, in turn, ensures that White Light is able to offer the highest level
