The company is now looking to form a new list of freelancers who specialise in the fields of audio and video
UK - Over the past year, White Light has continued to expand both its services and expertise across a variety of entertainment fields. Whilst remaining the leading theatrical lighting supplier, the complete production solution specialist has recently supported touring concerts for artists such as 50 Cent and Frankie Valli, historic occasions such as the Magna Carta 800th Anniversary, as well as festivals such as the Winslow Hall Opera and Glastonbury. One of the most significant developments has been its expansion into audio and video. As a result, White Light now requires a team of freelancers who can help support the company as the demand for its services in both areas continues to grow.

At the start of 2015, White Light formed its very own audio department. Fronted by Head of Audio Lee Dennison, who formerly worked at Delta Sound/Sound by Design, the department was created to expand the company's presence in the audio world. White Light has already invested substantially in new equipment from leading manufacturers such as Clear Com, EM Acoustics, Full Fat Audio, Shure, Sennheiser and Yamaha. It has also been appointed as a full pro dealer for EM Acoustics, Full Fat Audio, Shure, Sennheiser and Yamaha. Despite being formed only six months ago, the department has already installed a brand new audio system at Thorpe Park, one of the UK's largest theme parks, as well as provided audio support for events involving the Macmillian Cancer Trust and the Royal Courts of Justice.

Earlier this year, White Light announced the acquisition of visual technology company Shock Solutions. Having more than ten years experience, Shock Solutions is a forerunner in the field of audio-visual equipment solutions, with Managing Director Andy Hook joining White Light as its Technical Solutions Director. This year has also seen White Light begin its role as Production Service Partner at Central Hall Westminster which will see the company provide the production support on any event held at the historic venue.

Since its formation in 1971, White Light has managed to build up a reputable list of hundreds of freelance lighting designers with whom it works with on multiple projects. The company is now looking to form a new list of freelancers who specialise in the fields of audio and video as the company continues on this exciting new chapter in its history. Lee Dennison comments, "We're looking for people who are not only experienced, but have a genuine passion for delivering innovative projects." Andy Hook adds, "We've joined White Light at a really exciting time. As we are working on large-scale international events such as the Rugby World Cup, I'm very keen to get as many freelancers involved as possible who have strong visual technology experience."
