The Ri8-D and Ro8-D will be available from the end of February
Europe - Launched in March last year, Yamaha's CL Series has been extended with the introduction of the new Ri8-D Input and Ro8-D Output rack units, which use the same Dante audio networking to deliver "almost limitless system flexibility".

Complementing the CL series Rio3224-D and Rio1608-D i/o units, the space-saving 1U size Ri8-D and Ro8-D make it possible to now place inputs where a system only needs inputs and outputs where it only need outputs, or any combination of the two.

The Ri8-D and Ro8-D work seamlessly with compatible Yamaha professional audio products which have the Dante-MY16-AUD interface card installed. These include the M7CL and LS9 digital consoles and the DME64N digital mixing engine. The Ri8-D head amplifiers can also be controlled directly from the user interface of a compatible console.

"The Ri8-D and Ro8-D have been developed to deliver the same level of audio quality as the CL Series, but providing even greater flexibility," says Nick Cook, European marketing director, Yamaha Commercial Audio Systems Europe. "Inputs and outputs can be provided exactly where they are needed, meaning that our customers can specify and install audio systems which are precisely tailored to the needs of any venue or event."
