Germany - The AES, in cooperation with the European Broadcast Union (EBU), recently held a 'Plugfest' with equipment from 10 manufacturers, to demonstrate functional compatibility - or interoperability - between a number of different implementations of the AES67-2013 standard.

AES67 is a standard to enable high-performance audio-over-IP streaming interoperability between the various IP-based audio networking products currently available, such as Dante, Livewire, Q-LAN and RAVENNA. It is not a new technology but a bridging compliance mode common to all IP-Networks; a mode you can put a device into, on any participating network. AES67 operates over standard layer 3 Ethernet networks and, as such, is routable and fully scalable, like any common modern IT network. As a rule of thumb, any network infrastructure capable of handling VoIP should be able to handle AES67. The Media Networ

The Netherlands - Panasonic's presence at ISE 2015 will showcase the latest in 4K and laser technology, as well as visual solutions aimed at a range of industry verticals.

Among the innovations promised at this year's show are a pixel quadrupling 4K projector, laser projectors that achieve industry leading brightness and a successor to the PT-DZ21K, Europe's most successful high brightness projector.

Panasonic will also showcase its newly developed remote monitoring and managed service solution - demonstrating results of a trial with a leading UK university, which used Panasonic's own Early Warning System, connected with M2M technology.

The company has increased the size of its booth at ISE to an impressive 600sqm, which reflects the importance of the event to the company. Jan Markus Jahn, director of visual system solutions, said: "ISE is the centrepiece of our annual

USA - Symetrix has launched SymNet Composer 3.0, an update to the manufacturer's award-winning open architecture design software. Version 3.0 has built upon the native support of Audinate's Dante media networking technology for select third-party devices in earlier releases, and extends support of market-leading products thanks to new partnerships with Shure Inc and Audio-Technica.

Now, integrators can streamline their set-up procedures and achieve network discovery, Dante signal routing, and audio set-up of supported third-party devices from the two new manufacturers alongside Attero Tech and Stewart Audio with a single piece of software.

"The previous version of Composer was genuinely groundbreaking because it meant less software to keep up-to-date and less jumping between different items of software," says Trent Wagner, Senior Product Manager at Symetrix. "Si

Germany - The InLED AT10 from Litecraft was developed as an indoor spotlight based on the successful OutLED AT10. A high IP protection class is not absolutely necessary for many events if they are held indoors or fixtures are placed under a stage roof. The InLED AT10 does not need certain components, reducing costs and improving handling. The indoor version does away with permanently mounted cables and instead integrates XLR and PowerCon connectors in the original Neutrik quality expected from Litecraft. Wiring and rigging of the lights can be completed in less time.

The InLED also is equipped with an RJ45 EtherCon jack. This makes it possible to easily update the software at any time. The optional accessory holder for attaching colour filter frames and barndoors is also new. An omega bracket for mounting hooks or clamps is also available. The omega bracket can be attached witho

USA - Audinate, inventor of Dante, the industry leading digital media networking solution, has announced new releases to its popular Dante Virtual Soundcard (Release 3.7) as well as Dante Controller. Dante Virtual Soundcard is a simple, easy-to-use software application that turns your Windows PC, Windows Server, or Mac OS X computer into a Dante-enabled device, allowing you to instantly connect to any Dante network. No special hardware is required - Dante Virtual Soundcard uses your computer's Ethernet port to send or receive audio from Dante-enabled devices on the network.

Dante Controller is a free software application for PC and Mac that enables you to route audio and configure devices on a Dante network. In addition, Dante Controller provides essential device status inf

UK - Having won awards from Live Design, PLASA and Prolight & Sound for their products and innovation, Avolites could be forgiven for simply tweaking some minor features in their Ai software. Rather than rest on their laurels, though, they have introduced a host of new features and improvements for latest iteration, Version 8, which they're describing as "everything you always wanted" in a media server.

Building on their initial success, Avolites Ai V8 is the result of a feature rich development programme lead by intensive user feedback.
