The White Light Zone, in the heart of Earls Court 2, featured not just White Light itself, but also the many companies whose products White Light distributes: ArKaos, Coemar, Galaxia, i-Pix, JB Lighting, Look Solutions, LSC, Prism Projection, Rainbow Colour Changers, Robert Juliat, the RSC Lightlock and Wireless Solution, plus new White Light Family members CITC, Core Lighting, EVOled, Interactive Technologies, Leader Light and SeaChanger.
The White Light Zone featured a number of new products, including the new A30 media server and Kling-Net LED network control system from ArKaos, the Reflection LEDko LED profile spot from Coemar, the brand-new Beamlight, an LED replacement for the traditional ACL from i-Pix, the A12 LED washlight from JB Lighting, the Clarity-LX console range from LSC Lighting, the RevEAL LED profile spot from Prism Projection, Robert Juliat's Aledin LED spotlight and new LED Fresnel, and the new BlueBox RDM controller software from Wireless Solution.
White Light itself had staff on-hand to discuss the wide range of products and services the company now offers, and the latest additions to its comprehensive lighting and sales stocks. More importantly, the White Light bar was the location for the daily celebrations of White Light's 40th anniversary, with birthday cupcakes to help mark the occasion.
In a reversal of birthday tradition, White Light gave away rather than receiving a present, with visitors to the stand entered into a draw for an iPad2. Adrian Rutter from London's South Bank Centre was the delighted winner, his prize "topping off the excellent day I spent at PLASA 2011."
"PLASA put on a great show once again this year," comments White Light's managing director Bryan Raven, "and we were delighted to be part of it. We were thrilled that so many friends and colleagues from around the world turned out to celebrate our birthday. One or two of them have been customers since the company began! At the same time, the new products from the manufacturers in our White Light Zone showed the kind of innovation we will see through our next forty years."
White Light will return to Earls Court for PLASA 2012, which takes place from 9-12 September next year.
