Fellows, previously events administrator at White Light, joined the company in 2011. UK - The concert production industry has lost one of its most influential figures this week, with the death of the legendary concert stage designer, Mark Fisher.

Having been responsible for the design of most of the landmark touring stadium shows of the past three decades, Fisher occupied a unique position in the industry. He trained as an architect at the Architectural Association School of Architecture in London, graduating in 1971, and later, having already made his name in the world of concert design with his work on Pink Floyd's The Wall (1980), he teamed up with Jonathan Park to create the Fisher Park Partnership in 1984. The Mark Fisher Studio, Stufish, was founded in 1994.

Fisher's designs throughout this period encompass many of the largest, most innovative, most complex and most memorable touring concert productions of recent times. In addition to Pink Floyd,

Wiggins joined Community's founder, president and chief engineer, Bruce W. Howze in 1971 and became a partner in 1972. He has held multiple roles during his time at Community, including VP of sales, VP of Marketing and his current position as VP of business development.

USA - Tim Dorwart, CEO of Community Professional Loudspeakers, passed away on 15 July 2013.

Dorwart became Community's CEO in March of this year and led the company through its introduction of several important new products at InfoComm. Dorwart's previous roles included director and VP positions with Bose Corporation and DMX Music. Since 2007, he had led the Stanton Group through a successful turnaround as their CEO.

Dorwart came to Community from Gibson Guitar Corporation where he held the position of general manager, pro audio and guided the integration of Stanton Group assets to form Gibson's new Pro Audio Division.

Andy passed away suddenly on Friday 12th July on his way to an ALD Executive meeting, where he was due to discuss the next issue of Focus and the ALD website, both projects that Andy was intimately involved in.

Andy joined the Executive in October 1995, and filled several key positions starting as Associate Member Representative, then as Corporate Member Representative, before excelling in the role of editor for Focus, re-generating it as a full colour magazine that led from the front page with its pictorial content as well as the grammatically incorrect tag line that he judged each article submission by: "More Art, Less Tools", a direct response from the members

UK - Event production specialist Ethix Management has marked an exceptionally successful 12 month trading period by appointing Doug Maddison to the position of technical director.

Having started his pro audio career with Sussex-based Blue Box Company and worked with many of the UK's top production companies, Smart has a wealth of experience of both national and international concert touring spanning more than 20 years. Learning much of his audio engineering skills at the sharp end of the electronic dance music boom of the 90s, he quickly progressed to become a freelance engineer for Capital Sound, SSE, Entec, RG Jones and Audile.
