UK - Bletchley Park, the famed World War II codebreaking heritage site and museum, has further enriched its visitor experience with the opening of the Fellowship Auditorium. This purpose-built venue, unveiled in October 2023, is the latest addition to the Milton Keynes site. The auditorium features 250 seats and is part of a broader development that includes the Diesel House reception area and the Radley Room social space, as well as a new Learning Centre.

The auditorium’s distinctive 180-degree radial seating arrangement presented acoustic challenges that required expert attention. USA - When Univision presented the 37th annual Premio Lo Nuestro at the Kaseya Centre in Miami, Professional Wireless Systems (PWS) was onsite to handle frequency coordination and supply all wireless microphones, IFBs, IEMs and intercom for this year’s Latin music awards show. PWS managed frequency coordination and equipment for the entertainment program, including the red-carpet festivities, livestream and main event.

The Netherlands - The Sportcampus Zuiderpark is an indoor sports arena located in The Hague. Opened in 2017, it is used for several indoor sports and the main 3,500-cap hall is the home arena of professional basketball club The Hague Royals.

Every year, just before Christmas, the venue hosts the annual Sportgala, which recognises the achievements of local athletes and sports teams, as well as coaches, referees and volunteers.

New Zealand - Composer and music editor Stephen Gallagher installed an Audient Oria in his studio last year, just in time for him to complete the score for the new anime feature, The Lord of the Rings: The War of the Rohirrim which debuted on streaming services a couple of weeks ago.

UK - Fourier Audio is expanding with the addition of two new employees: Ben Evans, who has been appointed to the post of operations manager, and Ross Paterson, who now serves as product specialist. The announcement comes as Fourier Audio Co-founder and former CTO Pete Bridgman steps into the role of CEO.

Ben Evans joins the company from the Royal Albert Hall, where he managed the founding team that brought audio ‘in-house’, leading a large group of engineers in facilitating audio solutions for the 300-plus shows there per year. Prior to that, Evans has accrued decades of live sound engineering experience, predominantly in musical theatre, but also in other live audio genres. His main role with Fourier Audio will be to manage the busy day-to-day operations of the company, alongside developing relationships with plugin manufacturers across the industry.

USA - Houston house of worship, The Dwelling Place, opted for TiMax SoundHub-S32 object-based spatialisation to complement a Meyer Sound loudspeaker system upgrade within its sanctuary space. Sound designer, John Hettinger, wanted to create an immersive experience that would reach out to his congregation, work seamlessly with his choice of loudspeakers, and liberate vocals from static positioning at the front of the church.

Covering a total area of 30,000sq.m, the recently opened Skyline venue in the Chinese city of Hangzhou is the largest single party and KTV entertainment complex in the world. Spread across four floors, it comprises a combination of small, medium, and large party spaces, including KTV rooms created for private and business customers. USA - Opened in 2024, Urban Dog Bar in Nashville features a pet-friendly patio and a doggy play area. They also offer ‘dog-centric events’ throughout the year, including their aptly named New Year’s Eve Ball Drop, which involves dropping tennis balls from the roof – much to the delight of canine attendees.

Before opening, venue staff contacted Joseph Hazelwood, founder of Hazelwood Laboratories, to design an audio system for their indoor and outdoor areas. Poland - The Mazowsze National Folk Song and Dance Ensemble was established in 1948 and is dedicated to the preservation and performance of traditional Polish folklore. In 2024, the venue completed extensive audio upgrades, with major changes to the sound system in the concert hall, designed by sound designer, Krzysztof Polesiński.

Powering the upgrades are two DiGiCo Quantum 852-T consoles and two further DiGiCo Quantum338 consoles, also equipped with Theatre software and Pulse upgrades for touring use, all supplied by Polsound, DiGiCo’s Distributor in Poland.
